I took my first Bikram Yoga class in March 2009 in Rotterdam.  Before this I had done many other styles of yoga; general Hatha yoga, hot yoga, power yoga and some others (too many names to remember).  I had done them both at home and other yoga studios for several years.  A friend invited me to come to Bikram Yoga with her as she has received a flyer in her mail box.  The class was great and I felt that it was really exactly what I needed.  I did what my body and mind could handle at that time.  I came back for more classes as I felt so positively different after that first class.  I wanted to feel that way more often.


Through my regular Bikram Yoga practice I became more flexible not only in my body but also in my mind.  I used to be a hot tempered person but since doing this yoga I am much calmer body and mind.  This was such a powerful change to experience for myself I wanted to share it with others and what better way than to become a teacher?


I attended Bikram’s teacher training program in 2011 and have been teaching ever since.  I really enjoy it and learn so much from it.  When I teach I know I am doing something good and that I am on the right path.  I get to see people change for the better in body and mind.  I see that even 1 class can make a difference in someone’s life.  I am proud and happy that I am allowed to be a part of that.  I like to help others and this is such a great way to do it.
